Speed Fibre Group colleagues support Irish communities through community initiatives

Speed Fibre Group, home to Enet and Magnet Plus, has delivered a strong programme of employee-led community initiatives across Ireland, reinforcing its ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility.
Throughout 2025, colleagues from across Speed Fibre Group came together to support a number of Irish charities through hands-on volunteering, fundraising and practical community initiatives in both Limerick and Dublin. More than 40 employees contributed their time and energy across multiple projects, working collaboratively to deliver meaningful, local impact for organisations, families and individuals.
As part of this programme, Speed Fibre Group supported Down Syndrome Limerick through a multi-day volunteering initiative focused on enhancing its facilities. Colleagues worked together to refresh and improve key spaces, including painting and reorganising rooms, upgrading storage areas and helping to create a more welcoming and functional environment for service users, families and staff.
Down Syndrome Limerick provides a wide range of supports for children and adults with Down syndrome and their families, including therapies, education, employment programmes and social activities. The improvements delivered through the volunteering initiative will support the organisation in continuing this vital work.
In Dublin, Speed Fibre Group colleagues volunteered at Hugh’s House Dublin, supporting outdoor maintenance and beautification works over a number of days. Activities included gardening, painting, planting and general upkeep, helping to enhance the external environment for families staying at the facility during difficult periods.
In addition to volunteering time, Speed Fibre Group made a €2,000 donation to Hugh’s House to support the purchase of new mattresses and bedding. Hugh’s House provides free, home-from-home accommodation for families whose children are undergoing treatment in Dublin hospitals, easing emotional and financial pressures at an incredibly challenging time.
Colleagues also supported Limerick Animal Welfare, volunteering their time to assist the charity’s team in caring for rescued animals. Activities included dog walking, cleaning, maintenance and general support around the sanctuary. Operating a no-kill policy, Limerick Animal Welfare rescues and rehomes a wide range of animals, providing a safe haven until permanent homes are found.
Beyond volunteering days, Speed Fibre Group’s broader CSR programme included a number of additional initiatives aimed at supporting young people, families and those experiencing hardship. This included a second-year partnership with Coerver Coaching Leinster, delivering a five-week sports programme in collaboration with St. Francis Senior National School. The programme focused on encouraging physical activity, confidence and wellbeing through structured, high-quality coaching in a supportive environment.
Employees across all Speed Fibre Group locations also supported Focus Ireland’s annual Christmas Shoebox Appeal, preparing more than 80 shoeboxes containing vouchers, heat and hygiene essentials for individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
Speaking about the initiatives, Lisa Gillivan, Head of Marketing & Communications and Chair of the CSR Committee at Speed Fibre Group, said:
“At Speed Fibre Group, we’re committed to supporting the communities we operate in, and our people play a central role in bringing that commitment to life. From hands-on volunteering to wider community initiatives, our colleagues continue to make a meaningful local impact, and we’re very proud of what’s been achieved together.”
With offices in Limerick and Dublin, Speed Fibre Group plays a key role in Ireland’s connectivity landscape, delivering critical fibre and wireless infrastructure to businesses, public sector organisations and communities nationwide.
